Artist's Comments

This is a comic book rendition of Constipated by Weird 'Al' Yankovic, done in the style of Abstruse Goose.

It was part of a project I did at college, and is the first piece I have done at college that I feel is good enough to be on my deviantART account.

I tried to keep the comic book text as close to the song lyrics as possible, there is only one or two lines missing and one or two altered. On the third page I give a nod to Abstruse Goose by using the main guy as the guide at the roller-coaster.

It was planned out on traditional pencil and paper but was made in Illustrator.


Hope you enjoy it and feel free to leave comments, good and bad :).

Hi Toppot,

That's really cool. :-) I loved reading along as I listened to the song.

Here's a couple of typos you could fix:
* sence -> sense
* comstipated -> constipated
* tattoo'd -> tattoed

Thank you very much :). I have made the spelling corrections to the comic, and made it a more browser friendly size while I was at it.

Why'd you leave out the line "Why'd I have to go and get myself decapitated?" Just not enough room to fit one verse and two choruses into the space you'd previously used for one verse and one chorus?

Yes it was down to a lack of space. I wish I could have kept every line in but with the design and layout I had to compromise, the comic book has to stand alone as a story itself, the song was just the base/inspiration for the work.
